Vitamins
Folate occurs naturally in several sources of human and animal food. The names folate and folic acid are derived from the Latin word folium (which means “leaf”). Leafy vegetables are a main source, as well as fresh vegetables, mushrooms, yeast, grasses and citrus fruits. Among foods of animal origin, liver and eggs, especially the egg yolk, are considered a good source. Vitamin B9 (folic acid and folate) is essential for numerous functions in the body.
Amino and nucleic acid metabolism
Folic acid is a member of the vitamin B family that stimulates blood formation. Folic acid is used to treat and prevent folate deficiencies and megaloblastic anaemia. In biological terms, folic acid in the form of tetrahydrofolic acid is considered a coenzyme with the following metabolic functions:
Increased antibody production
Feed additive, category: vitamins, provitamins and chemical substances with similar effects
WELDING supplies folic acid (EU Code: 3a316) from qualified Chinese manufacturers.
