State-of-the-art production facility for oncology products opened

Bluepharma opens a state-of-the-art production facility for oncology products in Coimbra, Portugal

A milestone in European drug manufacturing

Bluepharma opened a new state-of-the-art industrial facility in Coimbra, Portugal, specializing in the production of oral, solid, high-potency drugs in the field of oncology. The opening ceremony took place in the presence of prominent guests from national and international institutions and partners, including the Portuguese Minister of Economy and Sea, António Costa Silva, the President of Medicines for Europe, Elisabeth Stampa, and the President of Bluepharma, Paulo Barradas Rebelo.

This new facility is of great importance to the European reindustrialization strategy and makes an important contribution to the sustainability of healthcare systems, especially in oncology. With this new production facility, one of the largest in Europe, Bluepharma has demonstrated its commitment to improving healthcare.

The ONConcept project, which Bluepharma implemented in collaboration with WELDING GmbH & Co. KG and HELM AG, has led to the construction of this state-of-the-art production facility. Within this framework, a portfolio of more than 20 products has been assembled, constantly opening up new opportunities for the partners.
This innovative collaboration demonstrates the commitment of the cooperation partners to use the latest technologies and processes to produce pharmaceuticals and thus improve healthcare.

The opening of this new facility is an important milestone for Welding and its partners as they work together to improve healthcare and patient access to vital medicines. With this new manufacturing facility, WELDING, HELM AG and Bluepharma have taken a leading role in the production of oral, solid, high-potency drugs in the field of oncology and will continue to develop innovative healthcare solutions.
